Exploring Saru Island on Iki Island in Ghost of Tsushima presents players with hidden environmental riddles tied to the famous three wise monkeys. Unlocking the Monkey See achievement requires performing specific gestures in front of three distinct monkey statues scattered near the monkey sanctuary. Understanding how to fulfill each objective allows players to complete this hidden task efficiently without missing crucial steps.
Finding the Three Wise Monkey Statues
To begin the challenge, travel to Saru Island located off the southern coast of Iki Island. The area features three carved stone monkey statues, each representing a specific part of the see no evil, hear no evil, and speak no evil proverb. Locating all three statues around the sanctuary grounds is necessary before performing the required actions.
Fulfilling the Statue Actions
For the See No Evil monkey statue, drop a smoke bomb directly in front of it to blind its vision. At the Hear No Evil statue, pull out Jin's flute and play a melody to satisfy the prompt. Finally, approach the Speak No Evil statue and perform a respectful bow to complete the triad of actions.
Unlocking the Reward and Trophy
Once all three gestures are executed correctly, a brief cutscene or visual cue will trigger at the monkey sanctuary. Completing these environmental puzzles officially awards the hidden Monkey See trophy for your achievement collection.
